An experienced former prosecutor and criminal defense lawyer
As a violent crimes and narcotics prosecutor, I spent 15 years serving the 13th and 16th Judicial Circuits of South Carolina. Then I switched to the other side of the courtroom as a criminal defense attorney, where I worked to ensure the rights of and to defend juvenile offenders many of which committed violent crimes. I relentlessly advocated for those offenders and saw first hand how education is the most essential gift we can give our children. Now I am combining my relentless advocacy and my heart for students to ensure that our students are getting the education they deserve and need.
My practice is client centered. From a simple traffic ticket to a complex disability discrimination case, I work to understand my clients, make sure they are heard, and to work towards an outcome that fits their needs. My practice is about my clients and meeting their very individual needs.

With over 17 years experience in Criminal Justice, I have practiced on both sides of the courtroom. I spent over fifteen years as a prosecutor between York and Greenville Counties. I took that experience to the other side of the courtroom where I have defended clients charged with violent crimes.

I have both prosecuted and defended high level violent crimes and misdemeanors. Now, I take that skill set to provide you with the best representation possible from initial consult to full criminal trials.

A born and raised South Carolinian, I grew up in the Upstate of South Carolina and attended public schools in Spartanburg County. During my college years, I developed a strong interest in justice and our government. I decided to attend law school at University of South Carolina School of Law where I graduated in 2007 with my Juris Doctor.
Immediately I went to work as a prosecutor in both the Sixteenth and Thirteenth Circuits serving York and Greenville Counties for over 15 years. In those years I learned how to analyze criminal cases, review evidence, and examine legal challenges for criminal cases. After those years, I took my experience to the other side of the courtroom where I became a defense lawyer representing those charged with serious violent crimes as well as misdemeanors.
I have vast experience in the courtrooms of South Carolina and I am excited to take that experience to work for my clients.

Yes. All of my cases start with a free consultation, either in person or virtual. I will listen to your needs and perform a cursory review of any documentation. After that I will develop a strategic plan for your legal matter, give you a quote for services, and provide you with the necessary paperwork to initiate representation. All information revealed in the consultation remains confidential.

To give you assurance, I charge flat fees so you know the financial cost of my representation up front. I do require a 50% deposit or a minimum engagement fee for all criminal defense matters to initiate representation.
